Owned 28 yrs. Running a 1965 273 4bblsb mopar and automatic trans out of a 1965 Plymouth Belvedere plus seats and console power disc brakes. '88 Dodge Dakota rear axle cut coils and 2" lowering blocks. Nosed and decked with sunken radio antennas and 4ft cruiser skirts. Painted the original sea foam green with pearl white flames, done by myself, and laced roof and tuck'n'roll interior, done by a long time friend. Soon to be striped by a friend along with the words Green Onions by Booker T and The MGs on the dog legs and decklid. Then I plan on traveling to shows with it and enjoy my retirement, I built it to be a driver and no trailer queen.
MoreI aquired my all original 22,000-mile 2-owner Plymouth from a New England dealer who found it in an estate sale and displayed it for sale in dealer showroom for several years. The car was always garaged. It is identical to my first car and is a joy to drive to local car shows, to grocery store runs, and to the dog park. New tires, new radiator, fuel system clean-up and some DIY tuning is all that was needed to put my "toy" reliably back on the road again. Pure fun in its original turquoise paint and upholstry!
MoreMy grandfather bought this car new in December '38 and had it shipped to France where he taught art. WW2 then started and my family fled back to the States and drove across the country to California. My dad and I spent a few bucks restoring her.
